In August, Liberia Mission welcomed 25 new children into its loving family. Some are Ebola orphans, some have both parents, but all are from desperately poor situations…and all 25 of them are still waiting for a sponsor.
For nearly a decade, we have not accepted this many children at one time in an effort to stabilize funds and care for children already under our roof. But God has chosen this year to test our faith by entrusting us with these young souls.
Your support provides these young people with three meals per day – when many barely received one – a loving home, Catholic education and a vast farm to learn skills and steward nature.
Meet Deborah. Deborah lost her mother and father to Ebola last year, just two weeks after her grandparents died of HIV/AIDS. She is our youngest orphan with big ambitions to become a medical doctor. A recent volunteer described her as “full of joy, smiles, happiness, always ready for a hug,” despite her great losses.
